The Pico Neo 2 is a stand alone VR-headset with room scale VR (6DoF) and is ideally suited for interactive training, onboarding and simulations.
The Pico Neo 2 has three key advantages:
The first key advantage of the Pico Neo 2 is its room scale VR (6DoF) capabilities. With room scale VR, an user can walk freely and interact with the virtual world. This ensures a longer lasting and more memorable VR experience. This makes the Pico Neo 2 perfect for brand experiences, sales demo’s and interactive training.
Another advantage of this headset is that the Pico Neo 2 runs on an open Android operating system. This makes it possible to change certain properties specifically for enterprise use.
Examples of these changes are things such as deactivating buttons or limiting user permissions (kiosk mode).
The last advantage of the Pico Neo 2 is that it requires no extra peripheral devices (PC or trackers) to be operated, this makes it far easier to transport and use in different locations. Another bonus of having no added peripherals is the fast setup time. This makes the Pico ideal for mobile training applications, sales meetings and trade show demo’s.

Specifications Neo 2
Display & picture quality
The Pico Neo 2 has a screen resolution of 4K. In addition, the field of view is 101 degrees with a refresh rate of 75Hz.
The Pico Neo 2 uses electromagnetic controllers instead of optical tracking. Since it doesn’t rely on optical tracking, the controllers don’t need to be seen to know where they are. That means you can place them behind your back, above your head, and anywhere you can go. For example, an Oculus Quest or Oculus Rift S wouldn’t be able to see a controller that is behind or above you.
This large range of motion is important because this is a professional headset and you don’t want motion-detecting dead zones in a work location.
The Pico does not need any peripherals (PC or sensors), so you can easily take the glasses with you to different locations. The Neo 2 features the comfort of a unique counterweight design for easy and extended wearing of the headset with plenty of room for prescription glasses.
Available content seems to be the least strong point of the Pico Neo 2. The Pico Neo 2 has the Pico Store. Due to the clear business focus of the Pico Neo 2, this store is only moderately filled. Enough business applications can be found, but few fun entertainment experiences.
Like many stand-alones, these VR glasses work on the basis of the Android operating system. In this case, the OS is easy to access for software developers, creating new opportunities for custom applications.
The “kiosk” mode is standard part of the features, you can show one application while access to the menu is locked. The controller-free option even allows the user to navigate without a remote control, a function especially intended for the business market.
The Pico Neo 2 lasts about 2.5 hours on a full battery. This is comparable to other all-in-one VR headsets.
The battery is housed at the back, which provides better weight distribution, which improves comfort. The weight of the whole headset is 692 grams. This is slightly heavier than the Oculus Quest, but the Neo 2 is a lot more comfortable due to the rear battery.
